Terpenes are aromatic molecules produced from the resin of plants. Along with flavonoids, terpenes are the scents/smells that we associate with plants. Different cultivars of Cannabis have their own combinations of terpenes which causes each strain to have their own unique scent. Conversely, cannabinoids do not produce scents.
What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids, or phytocannabinoids, are active compounds found in the cannabis plant (as well as some other plants). These compounds come with a multitude of health benefits and can be used to alleviate various symptoms and issues.
Ecuador Sets Hemp Delta 9 THC Limit at 1.0% & Approves Medical Cannabis
The government of Ecuador has set the maximum Delta 9 THC level for industrial hemp at a full 1%, following the lead of Uruguay, Switzerland, and Australia.
Thailand has removed CBD from its Narcotics List
Bangkok, Thailand – Thailand has removed CBD from its narcotics list. The country has removed cannabis and hemp extracts from its narcotics list.
CBD-based products with a THC content of less than 0.2%, were removed from Thailand’s Category 5 narcotics schedule, regulators stated. Hemp seed and oil are now also exempt from Category 5, under the changes.
